I was contacted by HizaRo, who has created a nice site for the Indonesian Blender community. It has news, tutorials and a gallery. When I read the pages my brain feels like it's in a knot, with texts such as 'Tujuan dari kompetisi ini adalah menjaga semangat bersaing dan kreatifitas antar anggota' ;-) Still, great job – I hope the Indonesian Blender community will benefit from this!

Blender developer Nathan Letwory [JesterKing] became a father for the second time earlier today when his daughter Rafaëlla was born at 14:42 in Finland. Rafaëlla weighs 2820g and is 50,5cm tall. Both she and her mother are doing great.
We're happy to report that Rafaëlla looks significantly less grumpy than her big brother Rasmus [JesterPrince], who is reported to have developed a passion for human beat-boxing and (duh) Blender!
Brad Peebler, President of Luxology, invited me to have a meeting at Siggraph to start a friendly relation and check on ways how we can make Modo and Blender work together smoothly for our users.
Julius Tuomisto and Nathan Letwory will be at ASSEMBLY 2009 in Helsinky this Saturday to talk about their distributed rendering project with Blender.
