This is a little fluid simulation project I have always wanted to make, a liquid dropping in a wine glass. unfortunately I could never get the result I wanted. There were always weird artifacts around the fluid. This all changed when Blender hit 2.79. Now you can import Realflow's native format which is alembic and this is huge.
I used Realflow to create the simulation itself and then I imported the simulation into Blender via the new Alembic importer. I rendered it using the Cycles rendering engine.
Let me know if you want a tutorial on this subject

Please make a tutorial, I would love to know how you meshed the particles in blender cycles. Thanks
I would definitely appreciate a simple tutorial! I've been interested in Realflow to Blender workflow possibilities for a while now! :)
Yea, dude! Please make a tutorial. I've been making a movie short and that's exactly what I need!
The compositing part should be integrated in your already long awaited tutorial !
Does it support motion blur?
yes it does
Pity that Realflow is a bit expensive for your average user. Great animation though.
Yes tutorial please, this is really good pipeline to have between realflow native and alembic to Blender
Hi, nice work you done there. It would be nice with a tutorial on how to import alembic from Realflow.
Couldnt this be done with earlier versions then, Alembic was there in earlier versions as well ;)
Older versions of realflow have an older version of Alembic. Blender is using a rather new version. Not compatible apparantly. Only heard it from someone who tested it.
This kind of simulation could be easily done with the Cube Surfer addon for blender.
those fluid looks like on a hydrophobic surface.
Nice, it even works in my Ubuntu box.
Nice to see the pipeline works nicely. I have not played with fluid dynamics much. How does Blenders fluids and Mantaflow compare to Realflow?
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeessee make a tutorial!!!!
how did you import that glass into realflow from blender because realflow only supports triangular faces mesh
