Realistic Fluid Simulations with Realflow

This is a little fluid simulation project I have always wanted to make, a liquid dropping in a wine glass. unfortunately I could never get the result I wanted. There were always weird artifacts around the fluid. This all changed when Blender hit 2.79. Now you can import Realflow's native format which is alembic and this is huge.

I used Realflow to create the simulation itself and then I imported the simulation into Blender via the new Alembic importer. I rendered it using the Cycles rendering engine.

Let me know if you want a tutorial on this subject

    • Older versions of realflow have an older version of Alembic. Blender is using a rather new version. Not compatible apparantly. Only heard it from someone who tested it.
