Johan Arzuza and Juan Carlso Sevillano collaborated on two short animations.

Johan writes:

A cartoon animation I made for fun and testing a great rig made by my friend Juan Carlso Sevillano. Render in Blender internal and animation by Johan Arzuza (me).

Made in Blender 2.66.

Hope you like it!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

The robot animation was cute, but I think the timing of the final knock on the head could be delayed a bit. So just when you think the robot is congratulating itself on having knocked out all the little critters, suddenly it gets hit.

If you want to see classic slapstick timing, go watch Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner cartoons from the 1950s. Also old Marx Brothers movies had some classic intricately-choreographed routines in them.
