Kids video: Honyang

Seoul-based Khazmodan studios presents the first episode of their child animation series ‘Honyang’, the adventure of Honyang, Gureung and Meguri,three baby animals living in Horang Forest.

The biggest challenge for this show was render time.

This was due to the large number of fur close-up scenes and the need to set a relatively high number of hairs to achieve a soft look by thinning the hair thickness. This resulted in a lot of noise and flickering even when the sampling was increased. We put a lot of effort into solving this in the compositing stage, using methods such as noise reduction and denoising.
