please take my words with education, gimp is an extraordinary software but it´s not a powerful tool, photoshop is the god of image editor, i like ( i mean ) i love open source BUT ONLY BLENDER has the power, the rest of the programs are not worthy in the main list, i saw what Gimp can do and is totally IMPRESSIVE but is under Photoshop, gimp is great and i used it but when i use photoshop, whoooo the difference is TOTAL, is like we compare a worm and an elephant, MAYA Vs BLENDER, Blender is the main but maya got the power FIRST, that´s the truth but now blender is better than maya indeed, so... gimp is NOT for pro, only photoshop... photoshop and blender is the reason i love to make things, i uninstalled gimp quickly and i have kept with photoshop and blender till the end... i´ve been impressed with the results with gimp´s works but is not enough, i appreciate the tiny weight of gimp and it is open source, but it´s really not enough, its tools are NOT for pro and that is a truth that everyone knows, in conclusion, Photoshop Vs Gimp, Photoshop is the winner for many reasons, thousands of reasons, Maya Vs Blender, Blender has won the first place indeed, hope you guys change your mind about Gimp, gimp is only for beginners or intermediate BUT NOT for Pro, Blender is for Pro as photoshop
by the way, great picture, nature is still alive indeed hehe, thank you for sharing your art, totally impressive

in your "resume" when you search for some job, if you type that you use gimp like a pro, is it the same when you type that you use photoshop like a pro ?

i would love if blender someday has the ability ( auto-tracking ) and by default has the best add-ons ( but by default ) mmm blender has got that terrible trouble, hope they fix it SOON :(
because it is impossible download it, i tried to download the best add-ons but it ´s MPOSSIBLE, terrible issue from blender, PLEASE FIX IT and put them by default
