Hi everyone, This scene contains a Swatch watch, which I updated for Cycles, since it was made almost 2 years ago.
After that I made an animation which was a fan based commercial (so unofficial), displaying the watch at almost every angle :).

I hope you guys like it

        • Are you really going to whine about copyright? Is he making any money off of this video? Isn't it unofficial? Doesn't it say that? Get over it. Copyright is not an issue here. If the company who owns the SimCity4 Soundtrack loses money over this then worry. But otherwise it's not a problem.

          • Its perfectly fine to be concerned about copyright.  People often ask companies permission for use of their logos, trademarks, soundtracks, and almost anything else.  I am not sure why you are angry that someone brought up the issue of copyrights, even with videos like these copyrights are improtant to consider.

          • I'm not angry and I do realize copyright can be an issue. I guess I did come across as angry. It was supposed to be more of a "really?" But I am tired of people bringing it up on videos like this. The person has done something and he wants to show it off so he puts a sountrack behind it so it's not boring. It happens to be a song that someone recognizes so they then complain about it. In this case it's kind of a grey area. Is this copyright infringement? Even court has trouble deciding sometimes. Nobody's making money off of this video, nobody's losing money from this video, so the company is not going to worry about it. So it hardly counts as copyright infringement I would think.

          • Hey! You are a bit violent, you know? I'm not complaining about anything. You invented that. I always publish my works under a CreativeCommons licence, and I was just asking about this kind of issues, because I'm interested in making things like that, using some copyrighted works and I don't want to be worried about these issues.
I hope this could clarify you position in the discussion regarding this.

  1. Lighting or black material, maybe both seem a bit dark, though it could just be the glaring white of the web page. Very nicely done, details look very nice, the overall lighting is pleasing, and materials look convincing.
