Wireless game control using iPad

Luca Bonavita writes:

Some time ago we've been asked to build a system to let people in a trade fair to interact with the 3D model (displayed on a screen) of a product with more than 700 possible configurations, using the iPad as the remote control.

Of course we've used the Blender Game Engine :), and we coded an iPad application to wirelessly control the game.

Exporting Blender BGE games to iPad is work-in-progress for the open source gamekit project, you can check Momo from Yo Franky running around on Android and iOS here: http://gamekit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=354 Gamekit supports plenty of BGE logic bricks but uses Lua instead of Python.

  1. Maybe I'm late to the party, as usual, but does this mean there's a possibility that someone could craft an app where a blender model could be seen and manipulated (rotated, etc.) on an iPad? Not looking for a full version of blender on an iPad (although it would be nice), but just to create .blend models and show them in 3d space on an iPad.
