Some great updates on the Plumiferos blog. Its great to see some activity there. We know they have all been hard at work finishing the film.
The updates include some discussion on effects including: feathers, explosions and fluid fx (see image below). In addition, a post on how the creation process takes place from concept art to final render.
Of course the most exciting bit of news is that Plumiferos is approaching cinemas.
I quote from the blog:
"We are very close to finish the movie, but still there is a lot of work to do. There are a few shots to animate and lighting and FX teams are working very hard to complete the scenes."
Show your support and read up on some interesting techniques and information. Visit the Plumiferos blog.

Ahhh, already here ;-)
I'm looking forward to watching this when it's done.
very nice updates :D
Which codec do they use for the two vids in the "FX and Feathers" entry? For some reason, I can't play them :S
Wow, a distribution deal with Sony! That's great news!
re:kram1032 - I guess you're using Windows? It's FMP4 fourcc according to mplayer - so ffmpeg's MPEG4 - so you're best bet for Windows would probably be to install the ffdshow codec - http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Getting+ffdshow
Is movie going be in English? Either dubbed or subtitled?
Anyway the movie is looking really good. Can't wait to see it.
SO it was said the movie will be shown at cinemas. Does that mean public ones? This isn't going to be a movie that you go to the local mall to see... or is it?!
And the movie will be distributed by SONY PICTURES!
Not bad, huh?
I'm happy to see that coming from our Argentinian brothers.
Cheers
Great stuff guys, looking forward to it!
To all: Hey guys thanks for the kind words and support in behalf of the Plumi Team !
MOXAB: Yup, it is. However, it strongly depends on where you live and many other things. Foreign films have a hard way to theaters outside the country they're from ;-)
Richard: Yes, an english dubbed version is planned for film. Subtitled version probably too for all those who'd like to listen to the original voices :-)
please, please bring this to the US!! Or at least make it easy for us to buy DVDs that are either region 1 or region-less.
Thx SpookyElectric :)
