GoB Add-on: simple ZBrush>Blender interchange

3

This free add-on by JoseConseco establishes a direct link between Blender and Zbrush, making working in both tools at the same time almost seamless.

GoB will transfer:

  • Objects (only meshes)
  • Polypainting
  • UVs
  • Mask
  • Polygroup
  • Diffuse map
  • Normal map
  • Displacement map

You can download GoB from GitHub, and find more information on the Blender Artists topic.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Well is the updater, the initial addon was made long time ago. THough I bet Jose has done his magic and made even better :)

  2. I'm loving this add-on! I was looking for a proper way to import FBX without losing vertex colores from Zbrush and found much more than that. Thank you for providing such a powerful tool!

  3. It doesn't transfer uvs from zbrush to blender tho. i unwrapped my model before adding details in zbrush and when i imported back the model, uvs were gone. in the blender options, import includes UVs.
