Hi all,
I have taken the time to go through all the settings in the emitter and domain for the Blender 2.8 Mantaflow smoke simulation and render out what they look like using a single flat, filled circle emitter. I needed to know what each setting did vs the default settings and you might need to know too! 3 parts so far:
I hope this might help out some!

Thanks for going to the trouble of doing this, Steve. I've a current project where I have to create some steam. I'm sure this is going to help. The noise settings seem to be more critical than my experiments so far show.
Paul, Thank you, glad it was of some help!
very useful.
Did any of the settings dramatically in/de-crease render time?
Rob, the two things that changed baking times were domain resolution and noise upres factor. Glad it was useful to you!
Where do you get a copy of Manta Flow ?
Mr. Hollywood, it's built into 2.82 and beyond
Thanks Steve for the reply .........
Cheers
