I have taken the time to go through all the settings in the emitter and domain for the Blender 2.8 Mantaflow smoke simulation and render out what they look like using a single flat, filled circle emitter. Rob, the two things that changed baking times were domain resolution and noise upres factor. Glad it was useful to you!
Where do you get a copy of Manta Flow ?
