I have been using Blender for a few years, and I have been slowly slipping it into my professional work. However, I wanted to start using it in my own projects that I am passionate about, like videos and climbing. How about I combine all three?
Anything that seems animated is created in Blender.
The title sequence is 3d Blender objects, but rendered “2d”, the “Breakdown” text is actually a fluid sim in an object that is the shape of the text, then composited behind a mask of the text.
For the 3d breakdown, I used a separate tracked footage to recreate the wall in 3d space, then I moved the object into a new file to properly align it to my footage and projection mapped the UV for the almost seamless blending.
Then there are little elements throughout that were simple animations or composited effects.
Lastly, the outro sequence and logo build is created in Blender.
For speed, I edited it all together in Premiere, but if I had a little more patience, I know I could pretty much do the entire thing in Blender.
Still my favourite software.

Awesome render! That wall looks great in 3d. Great job on conquering that route also.
Thanks, much appreciated!
