Paul Golter shares a project he did for the Film Academy in Germany. The visuals are fantastic!

"Spirals" shows the form of the spiral in all kinds of dimensions in nature. Starting with the DNA with a diameter of 2 nanometer all the way up to the milkyway with 120 000 lightyears in diameter the spiral runs like a golden thread though existence. Why nature does this again and again is not clear until today. Is all this based on an universal code, which we can't comprehend ? Or is the principle of efficiency the explanation ? Does evolution work like water, which always takes the path of least resistance ?
With "Spirals" I want to show the viewer this phenomenon.
I'm Paul, 20 years old and made "Spirals" to apply for the Filmakademie in Baden Württemberg. The majority of the film was animated and rendered in Blender, Cycles. Only for the water vortex and the galaxy I used other software. I hope you guys enjoy the film!

Excellent film! Spirals, or in the larger context, Fractals, are everywhere. Seemingly random patterns are actually mathematically precise and predicable. An obvious display of design. Design that requires a Designer.
Not really. Most things are implicit in reality and even experiments with chaotic elements find that highly organized and structured results and the most likely, lowest energy forms. 'I can't imagine nature doing it so it couldn't be natural' is not sound logic.
I never said my argument wasn’t I can’t imagine nature doing it. What you stated though proved my point though. Thank you. :)
No, it doesn't. Having something be implicit means that no designer is required, but that it would emerge just from the laws of physics.
Yes it does, designers name is Paul Golter, as mentioned in the video. He did an impressive peace of work.
And lets leave religious aspects away, as it takes away from the work Paul did.
Cool!
Excellent work! Sound design is great too.
Thanks Fred!
If a 20 year old made this in Blender I say give him the job/position
Thanks David! :)
I very much hope so, I'll have to pass a test at the end of June.
Wow, beautiful!!
This was the most meaningful peace of CG I saw for years
