Rig Removal with Projections in Natron and Blender

When the company I work for decided to remove NukeX from our pipeline due to costs, I had to come up with another way to facilitate rig removals. Being a Nuke compositor and long time Blender user, I decided to explore my options with Natron and Blender. The basic workflow I came up with is to create your clean plate in Natron, track and project onto geo in Blender, then finish the composite in Natron.

Once I figured it out and had everything working, I decided to make this short video showing the process so other VFX artists can bring easy rig removal into their workflows using free and open source software.
