This is very cool - watch as Dalai gives a quck demo of some new 2.8 viewport features!
A follow up on 2.8 sneak peek demos. Dalai Felinto quickly shows that Cycles is not the only one to get a chance to shine with the new viewport.
Although developer Clément Foucault still has his hands full with Eevee development, we can already spot light reflections, fancy normal maps, and eye blinding bloom filter!

I hope it will get powerful as Marmoset Toolbag. This could replace Marmoset for a whole bunch of user, who dont need the extraordinary baker and the HTML5 Viewer.
Great development so far.
I'm really looking forward for this. It looks great!
Man. I can't wait.
Super awesome guys!!!! Thanks for all of your hard work!!
WOW!! oh yeah! oh yeah! oh yeah!
This will be amazing!!!
Can we find these features in the 'Bleeding Edge' builds?
Yes.
I'm so looking forward to this :D
That is astounding. I may just have to go back to a desktop computer... with a honking fast video card with lots of RAM.
It's actually, really, astounding. I downloaded the bleeding edge builds. It's buggy, but other than that it runs super fast on my laptop.
my specs:
16 GB RAM
Intel i5-5200U
Intel Integrated HD 5500
what blender approx used:
RAM - 300 MB to 600 MB
CPU - 4% to 10% load
GPU - 4% to 97% load (altogether, though it idles at like 1% to 3% without blender)
Does anyone know the specs for the computer he's using? CPU model/speed? Video card?
It runs very fast on my laptop (Intel i5-5200U with integrated intel hd 5500), I don't know his exact specs, but the minimum specs seem to be really low.
Thanks, Joyesh. Hopefully, my little MSI game laptop will be adequate.
Someone fetch me a Pokéball... hehehe
Looking good, guys. Development's coming along nicely. Can't wait to see where this thing goes.
Maybe a Marmoset Toolbag-esque mode someday, that uses a re-purposed BGE + EEVEE. Who knows? Potential is high.
Good luck with the effort.
I haven't tried any test builds before, but it seems like everything is broken. Blender crashes every time I try to open edit mode. Is this just my laptop? It's pretty weak. Windows 64, 8 gigs RAM, i5 core.
Blender developmet is lightning fast! light shadows don't work yet, right?
