Poor guy – you know the hamster is going to rise up to traumatize the boy in the end though. I would watch this movie.

    I subscribed in an instant.
I hope I’ll see similarly stylized work from him in the future.
Because this is – to simply put – one of the best artwork I’ve ever seen in Blender.
You can ask why? Two combined reasons: its style and the quality of execution.

Blender needs strong stylistic choices in artwork made with it. That’s exactly what will make contenporary illustrators and (more importantly) animation houses give it a try.

That’s what happened with me after seeing Jonathan Ball’s superb work.
Generic “realistic” art won’t turn heads. This will!

(On a sidenote: that’s why I’m genuinely sad seeing Agent 327’s art direction choices. I believe they overstress themselves on realism without good – or any – design foundations.)

Thanks. This topic is important to me.
I started writing a presentation to the BF about my points regarding the movie project but I haven’t finished it (yet).

I’m a noob in Blender but not in general. You already found (and liked – thank you!) some of my blender work on Instagram, so I think you will understand this:
C4D is the pet favourite 3D software of basically everybody working currently in design and illustration. People with c4d hashtags can be happily have 1000s of followers because their choice of software is hip, and people are actually searching for it (meaning more than just “you and me” typing b3d in the searchbar :D) This means GOOD, valuable (and not in the closed Blender circles type of) exposure for your work, and a good self-marketing asset. Just by using THAT software.
If Blender 2.8 comes out and – as I hope – it will have a simpler to grasp user interface, then the next logical step is to convince style-setting artists to use it.
        Because followers will follow.

I forgot to add that I’m seriously considering adding c4d hashtags to my work with a similar note:
“Sorry, I just wanted you to see this, it’s made with Blender. I’m so sorry!” :)
