Fracture Modifier: Smash a wall in a few minutes

Hey this is Dennis Fassbaender from the Fracture-Modifier-Development-Team.
As i can see that many people use the cell-fracture-addon for fracturing stuff i´ve decided to start making some tutorials to explain an other - easyer way to get the same results on the fly.

The 1st one is "fracture a wall in a few minutes". I know there is a great one from CG GEEK what is much more detailed, but in my tutorial i set the focus to the modifier and how fast it works.
Maybe you´d like to take the wall from CG GEEK and fracture it using our FM-Build ;).

The fracture-modifier-development is still going on. We will keep you informed on how things are going.

Thanks to scorpion81 for his time, nerves and good innovative ideas!

And now enjoy watching and please subscribe ;)

  1. There exist a special version of Blender, that has improvements in this area.
Ea if things brake of they can have a particle system to leave dust behind them (dust trails).

    • Yes- the special version you are talking about is the one i showed you ;).
I think you mean some demonstrations of someone who made addons for our special-build.
What he does is to use features that are already inside but automated them in an addon.

This will be implemented by the developer-team when we have finished with the actual development-cycle ;).

    • I would also like to see this in trunk. I don't like to always have two versions of Blender installed - because I'm often getting the latest version with improvements or new features to explore them, but then I have have to go back to an older version to use the Fracture Modifier. That's sometimes disappointing.
