With many thanks to all who are using CrowdRender, we've been taking your feedback on board and this update includes some important fixes for our addon that helps you build your own render farm out of computers you have in your home or office.
The main difference in the new V0.6.6 update is the ability to save a custom list of IP addresses for each computer you wish to use for rendering your animation or still image in Blender. If you've not heard of an 'IP Address' before, it's what computers use to send msgs between themselves over a network and is essential for establishing a connection so that software can communicate between computers.
This upgrade is crucial for improving the user experience as it makes it far easier to setup the addon so connections will work on more platforms and be customizable for your network situation.
There's a bunch of other fixes and upgrades which are explained in this blog article on our website, where you can also purchase access to V0.6.6, or if you don't mind lagging behind a little bit, you can download the latest free version, which is currently V0.6.4 that supports rendering animations and stills on as many computers as you like, on Blender versions up to 3.6LTS.
