I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

i've used this with BI a number of times, and i'm assuming since it's just manipulating UVs there's no reason it shouldn't work with cycles baking too, right? the other tutorial i'd love to see is how light maps can be used outside of blender in something like unity. most info online just pushes users towards beast, but i'd much prefer using blender's tools for lighting my scene if at all possible!
