Destroying stuff is fun. And today we’ll learn the 9 ways to destroy our models! Don’t try this at home, some of the techniques are really unstable and may crash Blender like no problem.
I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). This is really great to get the creative destruction juices flowing.
Only 9? I am so clumsy I can find dozens of ways to break things! but seriously, I never knew there were so many ways to use blenders dynamics in destruction (particularly cloth). I am having trouble with the zero stiffness cloth sim, I set it up and then the bottom vertices of the subdivided cube start to move upwards and almost looks like spiked fortress walls deploying around the cube. it may be a bug or I found another way to destroy things: social isolation :)
Heh, it's quite common bug ) Try to subdivide the cubes that serve as a collision objects (a few times!).
