Chris Folea has posted his 3D sculpt of Ton Roosendaal on SketchFab (see his time lapse here). It's rather of eery :)

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Sculpting a likeness is extremely difficult,
    because getting the geometry just right is only half of it (maybe, less);
    you have to get the character’s characteristic facial expression just right,
    and Ton, in particular, has a distinctive tongue-in-cheek smile that is SOO recognizable!
