I modeled the elephant over 2 years ago. As I get this "cool" idea, we had some very hot days this summer. So I decided to rig the elephant. The rig is all, but not perfect. I don´t know how to do this right. I put a lot of time in the lighting and the skin shader. One day I had the idea with the broken ladder, and BAM I had a little story and a funny part of the picture. I rendered the image with Cycles, done the color correction and add the sky texture in Photoshop.

the springboard is on the same line as the horizon. that is the püroblem.

The idea is great! :) But I think you need a splash here! Or at least the elephant must be motion blurred. Or everything than the elephant must be motion blurred.
the broken ladder is the perfect touch, and the joy of "flight" on Jumbo's face!
Very nice, but the elephant needs some motion blur, especially when the board has it. Otherwise awesome scene!
I hadn't yet noticed how the elephant has damaged the railing of the springboard and the steps while climbing up. Nice touch!
