I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Have watched Blender over the past 5 years.
Have played around with Blender over the past 5 years.
Skill level: Well lets just say I'm a Chaos Artists - no skill with drawing or modelling. My skill lies in opening the application up, playing around for a bit, then closing it down again.

    However,
I frigging love blender and what other people are able to accomplish with such a cool free piece of software.

  2. I have been dabbling in blender for 2 years yet still horrible at all thing blender but i am absolute amazed at some of the things the likes Alexander have created and curious of the length of time it took to learn blender and create such art

    • I use Blender in my production since summer 2009.
This video took me about 2,5 months to create (I started production in the end of march this year), because there was a huge amount of other parallel works and I just moved to new appartament and I that time had repair works at my home... >_<

  3. Hi, guys! Thank you for your kind replies! :)

fatsnacker, the best way to learn something is to take the task to do something with that something. :) If this task is real nad has deadline — you learn fast. :)
