this picture need some noticeable birds and a river or a lake... Too green to be so deserted...
Nice tutorial. Only thing to say, the sun in final image is totally misplaced compared to sun direction in the scene, coming from left/behind the camera, and this makes lights/shadows definitely unreal.
Very cool. Would the project get too heavy if you tried to keep everything in one 3D project instead of rendering out the parts?

Asked that myself, but then he said that it crashed for him on GPU, so I'm guessing it went bananas when it tried to load all the tree's into the GPU Memory.
Did you try to make render with setting - GPU?
Nope, I'm not going to do the scene, since I already know how to make these kind of scenes.
