The Ant rig in Max Hammond's showreel got a lot of praise last week. And guess what? You can download it! Enjoy ;-)

Amazing!!!!! A basic tutorial on this would be cool.
FANTASTIC! Like Roberto said, a basic tutorial would be perfect. I can see using this for some unsavory creatures I'm planning for in a graphic novel I'm working on ...
GREAT ! This is his best rig so far, very handy for Animators producing smooth movements with no many controllers.
I heard this rig is only available for 2.49? :( That would be a problem for those who do not want to hear about 2.49 ever again! :)
Unfortunately script links are gone in blender 2.5.
not gone, just been more intergrated into python as handlers,

Great rig! I made a double-take when I saw this - I modeled an ant that looks JUST like this one (we must have used the same reference images) for an animation, but this rig beats mine hands down, both in usability and in creativity. Great job!
Super rig!!! :)
hello, do you think that an implementation is possible directly in blender?
for a system of automatic operation for bipeds, quadrupeds etc.?
with cycle lengths of walking, weight etc. .. (or attitudes presets).
it would be really beautiful :-).
Your system seems to work perfectly, it would be the ideal companion for animators :-). thank's
bonjour, pensez vous qu'une implémentation directe dans blender soit possible?
pour avoir un système de marche automatique pour bipèdes, quadrupèdes etc?
avec longueurs de cycle de marche, poids etc.. (ou attitudes presets).
cela serait vraiment magnifique :-).
Votre système à l'air de fonctionner à merveille, il serait le compagnon idéal des animateurs :-). thank's
Any chance of a tutorial in 2.6 on how to do this?
Great job! With rig of such level animators will be not needed :)
