Former Durian member (and well known Blender artist) Ben Dansie is pleased to present Monkeystack’s new game project : Double Happy Vs The Infinite Sadness .
He said:
Double Happy is a game created by artists, for artists. Each game level (known as 'Islands') has its own unique art style, making use of Blender amongst a range of other creative tools. We would like to extend an invitation for you to join us in a hilarious mix of point and click adventure and retro themed mini games.
Over the coming months ahead we'll be releasing:
o Mini games for PC and mobile
o Animations
o Comics... with a twist
o Competitions that will win you prizes and directly influence the game design
o Detailed Behind the Scenes blogs
o Pictures, music, stories, merchandise and moreThe game is designed to accommodate art from many workflows, so I’ve already been sneaking in some work done with the Cycles render engine where appropriate. Details on how that worked out will be on the blog in due time along with the other write-ups and sneak peeks.
We hope you enjoy it!
You can follow the game's progress in the official website.

Least commented story ever!
FWIW I think this looks pretty cool. Not much content up there yet. Maybe that's why so few comments. I subscribed to the Twitter feed anyway.
Cheers Tony. :)
We are generally getting the word out about the project for now, there
is plenty more to come. I would have included the following in the
original story but I submitted it before the contest started.

The prize is an Intuos 4 Medium, which I think is a pretty cool prize. Obviously I can't enter though... Blender based entries are more than welcome!
Interesting stuff Ben, had a look at the website yesterday.
What engine are you guys using for these games? I'll take a guess with Unity?
Cool contest as well
Hi Alex,
Custom built cross platform engine is currently the plan from what I understand. Works nicely in it's early stages.
