I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

      • It more so just means that there were more new features added where things *could* go wrong. I'd like to see Windows fix their bugs that quickly! As for me, I use the VSE, and noticed a very weird sound bug in the mixdown feature, and I hope it was within the scope of these bug fixes, but proxies are back at least!

  1. It's very cool, that the bugs were fixed in this short time. But why don't they call the new version 2.60a and not 2.60.1 as normal?

      • Thank you for your answer ;)
I just wondered because i don't know any other programs which use letters in their version names

        • Sorry, i thought that there is 2.61 in your post, now i see that it is 2.60.1 .
Maybe that is the reason why they use letters. It is more easy to distinguish versions for unfocused readers like i am :).

  2. In 2.60a (r41226/windows 32bit) when I press the "Create New Action" in the Action Editor, the "F" button (save datablock even it has no users) automatically goes off. I was unaware of this and lost an action I made earlier, after reloading my save file :-|.

Is it suppose to go off automatically or is it a bug?

  3. I 'm testing the "Subdivide" option and when i reach a subdivide level of 7 and above, my pc freezes for good! Is it normal 'cause I' m completely new to Blender. :-S
