  1. I don't know if its because I saw Tiesson Froés Reel just before but theres some stuff that if I were the studio I would have removed.

Some of the things they showed really are great like the dude in the tank, the big robot, the dude sitting next to his "car", also I liked the quality of the first "2 clips". But some are like unfinished.

You guys have big potential. Good luck for the future.

  2. It seems like a random assortment of incongruous scenes. Each is well made but seem distinctly insular, like they're not a part of anything. They're obviously a bunch of very talented people but the reel is somewhat unfocused.

of course it's much better than anything I could do so more power to them. I'd love to see the story, if there is one, behind the guy in the scify suit in the desert. It was an intriguing scene.

  3. There's some good stuff in there
but sorry, in most pieces the character animation is just awful.
Hands stuck in the air (thanks to IK), just bad poses and so on.

Also the composition and staging doesn't hold up to professional work.
(not compositing, I'm talking about the door in the rocks for example, where's
the character on the righthand side and half of the scene is just plain
snow rocks. the same applies to the Vw touareg shot and most of the other ones, too)

  4. The animations seem a bit stiff, and some of the topology seems to be creating some odd deformations.

With that out of the way, it's a solid demo reel for a small start up company with a very small employee base.
(Looks like it's just one individual)

He/she/they seem to have a lot of potential, and wish them the best of luck.

  5. well no the best demo reel. Good stuff and some terrible stuff that i wonder why you put there. However we look at these demo with very cute eye, customers some times look for simple stuff and you might be surprise how much work you can get. I have seen a lot of awful animation even in cartoonnetwork. The Alien at the end with the gun is genial. The cylinder guy with the ball just look very newbie ( Modeling, rigging, texture and animation ! )

    Great Potential for these people.

  6. Outstanding!

Yes, as others have noted, it is a collection of disconnected efforts. But... they are outstanding efforts. The "creature" at 1:04 made me smile and laugh out loud.

Keep doing what you are doing - you are doing the right stuff!

  7. they look that can handle texturing, lighting, modelling very good, but they almost got no polished animation skills, only the creature on the cannon is something worthy (for animation), no acting, no strong poses, no meaninful timing. And some rigs seem a little basic. so in my veredict:

start learning basic animation and do some work on your rigs, and you have a winner team...

    cheers!!!

  8. And another thing moderator:
I have a right to express wherever i want.

    Bye and no cheers.

  9. some clips are not good, some are awesome... the same like others said.

Personally I liked very much the last piece with that dirty old car (fiat probably) - the car's movement is really great and dust is very good! BTW - what is this technique? I can't remember the name just imagine how it looks in the structure.
