Tony Mullen, author of '3D for iPhone Apps with Blender and SIO2' (among other titles), has now published his own game for the iPhone: Shootin' Annie.
Tony writes:
I thought BlenderNation readers might be interested to know that my new game created with Blender and the Open Source SIO2 Game Engine is available for sale at the iTunes App store. The game's website is http://www.shootinannie.com.
Shootin' Annie is a fast-paced sharpshooting game featuring the cutest lil gunslinger ever to hit the touch screen, and it's only a buck. I'm also working on a free-of-charge lite version, but it's not a real high priority at the moment, so I'm not quite sure when it'll be ready.
What's next? Who knows. Maybe some animated shorts in the vein of Wild Wild West meets the Powerpuff Girls? I'm definitely keen to do more with this character.
Anyway, hope people enjoy the game!
Tony
Tony has 10 promo codes to give away, so if you'd like to take Shootin' Annie for a spin, mail him at [email protected] (first come, first serve). Be sure to tell us how you liked it!

Hi,
Thanks for the announcement, Blendernation! Unfortunately, I also need to mention that the promo codes apparently only work in the US iTunes store.
I'll investigate whether it's possible to get some promo codes for use in other places.
T
Be aware, the promo codes only work for the U.S. Apple Store, i.e. for U.S. residents.
@Samuel G: You can open a US Apple Store account even if you're not a US resident. I have one, too (and I'm Dutch).
@Bart: Thank you for your hint, I considered this move, but there is this Apples License Agreement (http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html):
"U.S. SALES ONLY
Purchases or rentals (as applicable) from the iTunes Store are available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions, and are not available in any other location. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Store from outside of the available territory. Apple may use technologies to verify such compliance.
..."
Since I'm not a native english speaker nor a lawyer, I don't know if this also holds for gifts and promos. To be sure to be on the legal side, I stopped my registration at the U.S. iTunes store at that point.
Tony, is there already a video to see the game in action?
Hi,
I don't have any videos of it in action I'm afraid. I'll see about making one when I get a little time.
TonyM, thanks for the promo code, as said in the private email, I think the game is simple, yet playable with appealing graphics. There is some minor flickering issue. Other than that, congratulation for the game!
Regarding making a video, I sugget you to look for an iSimulate app ( search in iTunes ), which is great for doing a video capturing of your game via iPhone Simulator/iPhone device, pretty easy to setup.

@AntonG, thanks for the comments. I'll take a look at iSimulate.
How about some screenshots or in-game video?
@Olaf, there are some screenshots on the iTunes page. In-game video I don't have, but as I said in a previous post when I get some time I'll try to make one.
