Now that most/all of the Yo Frankie DVDs have arrived around the world, the whole project has been put online for free download.
You can read the full post and leave comments on the Apricot blog page, and Pablo (venomgfx) has also started a thread on Blenderartists.org open for discussion.
The project has also been added to 'Blender Projects' writes Pablo:
"A big new is that Yo Frankie! is now part of Blender Projects, this means that you can make and share your own levels, characters, whatever! and also help in the development and maintenance of the game, so we can all play Yo Frankie! in future Blender versions."
The tutorials and video files are not online yet, but will be coming soon.
Congratulations to the Apricot team, for the completion of another exciting and successful Blender project!

must be patient, must be patient >_<
numero one, wohooo
This is excellent news! I look forward to looking through the source files.
Exciting news, Alex! Thanks for sharing. I've downloaded my BGE copy already, and I'm trying to figure out how to get 0install to work so I can play the CS version (the water looks amazing in the screenshots of the CS one).
Yo Frankie! Yo Download Yo Yo
It's not letting me download it! :O
@blendenzo
Yeh, i cant get the CS version to work either, its a pain! Would be nice to compare.
YO, yoyoyoyo french hare happy for the gift of that team. I'm playing only the 25 December...
download is hard T.T, are there any mirror or torrent?
I can't download it either.
Well, I'm finally getting through with the download of the Blender version (Crystal Space one downloaded fast without a hitch).
I share internet with a family, so torrent seeding something that got Blendernationed in a few hours isn't really an option. Uploading the file to a public host or two is another matter.
Any particular suggestions?
At least, I was so impatient, I will try it this evening I hope. It's the better new for months, after 2.48a release. :)
Big Thanks to all the Apricot Team, and long life to Blender.
Hmm....download link for the BGE is bust... anyone got any other options?
coooool!!!! congratulations!
but: i'd like to have a high-res version of this "download"-image! 2560x1024 =) can i find it somewhere?
download.blender.org is not responding at this time :(
Ah, so I'm not the only one the download is working slow for! Of course, the Crystal Space one downloaded good. I'll keep posted here for a torrent//mirror.
Great, now we just have to wait a day or so before it downloads all the way...
Who made the music? It sucks! Just one short messy track...
BitTorrent!

The credits music is OK.
Arghhh, torrent does no good for me cause of my stupid school blocking it! This one's not even illegal! C'mon!
Sorry for rant. Any tips on getting torrents through TOR on ubuntu? I had it set up on one of the comps in the lab here, but haven't gotten it working on my new linux laptop.
@AniCator : Yeah the tracks are short but not bad, i like them! Fits well to the game i think.
Yo! Keep up the good work Blenders!
Great! I will have to try this out. Excellent work, everyone! Here's hoping for a FPS next time around. ;) (It will go well with Project Durian if I am not mistaken.) :P
really! what?! all of you get it and I miss the fun, no way!
nice, but ill finish gta4 for pc first.
Will there be updates and more stuff than the ones in the DVD?
Awesome! Thanks a lot for the torrent link!

Or simply click on this : http://dl.free.fr/qFDgREJ2h/yofrankie_bge.zip
:)
@ebrain: Merci beocoup!
Er, I've downloaded it, and can use each blend file, but how do i actually play the game??!
Am I missing something?
@Slowboy: open the start_game.blend file.
Aarg! I finished downloading but it was corrupted somehow....
3 Tutorials uploaded!:
- Library Linking
- Level Template Creation
- Texture Splatting in Real Time with GLSL
available at the download page:

(now with an easier-to-remind URL :)
more will follow, stay tuned!
Thanks Anicator - I only have Start_menu, if that's the one you mean? I already tried that (and have just, again) but that doesn't actually take me to new levels, or have any sound. Hhhmm, looks like I don't have sound in Blender, in general :L
Maybe I'll be back after some investigation....!
Cheers ;]
can somebody send me a link, i am in england and the link for the game for windows is not working ( have been waiting for 5 hours)
In Windows yo have the exe file. In Ubuntu you have two files, in my case I use yofrankie-linux-i386. To play the game you have to open properties of this file and activate "let execute the file as a program". Es decir, que para que funcione debéis activar la casilla "permitir ejecutar el archivo como un programa en la pestaña "permisos" de las propiedades del archivo. En windows está el ejecutable exe.
thank you for torrent link
Me encantó leer el artículo y las opiniones de todos. Gracias por el artículo
Hello, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your website in Opera, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, fantastic blog!
