I was in need of a snow material for a current project when I remembered the Blender Materials site. I hadn't been there in quite a while and I found exactly what I needed for this project. It saved me a lot of time. There's quite an impressive collection of FREE materials. I also noticed on thier home page that they have celebrated their first anniversary this month. So Congratulations and hats off to you all at Blender Materials for an outstanding job and collection.

Great work. A bright future awaits you BM
This is a great site, and I use it often.
I would also like to point out that the user interface of the site is very Blenderish.
Happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy... err, day?
Yay! Well done for your hard work and making our lives just that little bit easier! Woot!
Of course, not forgetting the Blender Model Repository! http://e2-productions.com/repository/
Saay, the BMR doesn't exactly have a birthday, should we make a up date, or use my birthday? :P
the "birthday" was almost a month ago - but thanks anyway *grin*
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I LOVE BLENDER MATERIALS! It has been a lifesaver!
It was a pleasure to post at start my materials, when it was only less than 100 materials.
Nice growing of material ! Keep good job ;)
I always forget, does it make a difference while using a material and you either a) scale the object in object mode, or b) scale the object in edit mode. Does the material scale differently in either? Is one better than the other when trying to get an appropriate size of wood grain for example. What about texture images and their behaviors while scaling in both ways?
YAY! I love that site. For most projects I'm doing, I don't need any new materials, but it's really cool to snoop through them at that site.
SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and many healty years to come.
The material sites domain isn't responding :(
I have been wondering why. Have used and would like to upload some recent creations and no luck at all.
Please update status of the site issue's
Blender Materials does not respond these days. Do you have any information about it?
Maybe he forgot to pay his rent...?
Have you someone contact to Paratron (webmaster)? It's very pity, cca 650 materials are off.
