I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. tynach: yes, I am continuously blown away by how cool Blender is, and how it keeps getting better. I only wish my skills would catch up with my desire to do cool things with it.

  2. TKR101010: Icecubes are actually quite simple to model. Just add a box, subdivide a couple of times and have fun with proportional editing tools and the sculpt mode. Or you could use a box, subdivide modifier set to "simple" (you may need two of these due to max limit of the subdiv value), displace modifier with cloud texture with proper values. (others work just as fine. Have fun tweaking.) There are plenty of other ways to go as well but I suppose you can get started by trying out these ways.

It has been a hectic year, heh. :)
