Here are four short items about recent appearance of Blender in the international media: articles and tutorials in a Japanese, German and Dutch magazines and Blender as HD Demo material for video compression software.

I noticed you are occasionally interested in Blender appearances in media, and thought you might like to know that several articles of mine are currently appearing in Mac People Magazine in Japan. In the October issue I wrote a short feature on Elephants Dream and the first of a four part tutorial on modeling and animating a human face using shape keys. This will continue on a monthly basis until January.

The September 2007 edition of the Dutch "Linux Magazine" has covered Elephants Dream and a 3 page article "Open Source and the Movie Industry"
Albrecht Jacobs (LayBack) and Johan vd Wilt reported on Andy's appearance in the German magazine c't:
Did anyone notice the interview with Andy Goralczyk in the German computer magazine c't (17/2006)? He is talking about the making of Elephants Dream. Well, here it is.

It won't take not that long I think until we have made the media on TV (excluding Elephants Dream)
I'm working on a movie! :P
There were some issues with publishing this post;it finally ended up as the fourth post on the page, so I bumped it up to make sure everyone would see it.
Blender gets over looked by 3DWorld (UK magazine).
Hence, I stopped my subscription.
Philip: Are you kidding me? There have been Blender Q&A articles in there for ages, we wrote the Elephants Dream production journals in each issue for six months, plenty of writeups on Elephants Dream itself (with two of the 3D world journalists making the trip over from the UK to Amsterdam for the premiere) and after that they had the huge open source special issue, which not only had a Blender image on the front cover, but featured Blender multiple times throughout the issue. I'd say that 3D World is by a large stretch the magazine that's by far the *most* supportive of Blender out of all the industry mags.

I agree with Matt - these guys do wonders for Blender.
yeah, just more wonders for maya and max ;)
This is great, Blender is getting more and more fame with Elephants Dream. Blender was already known by a good amount of 3D modellers, but it even get it's fame in the media and hopefully one day in real production on commercial companies for hollywood movies. Who knows :D ??
hey I just wrote two articles about blender for 3DWorld; a short Q+A plus a long one, and still have one more to write that I'm contracted to do- I'm pretty sure those come out this summer. Besides those, I've written about 6 that have been published, and I'm not the only blender user writing for 3DWorld; their editorial staff know about blender and actively seek content written for it, I believe Enrico Valenza and others have written for them too.
If no blender content is why you cancelled your subscription, then I guess you're missing out!
And Blender was featured the 3rd time in the Digital Production since it is open source software:
