While visiting BlenderArtists you might have come across this wonderful image by radiance in the Final Projects section. From the post:Â
My latest architectural project, modelled in blender 2.42 and rendered with Indigo 0.6test1. Everything from and including the first floor up is a render (including the physical sky...

Impressive
Really nice. I thought part of the mesh needed smoothing until I read the thread. The building design actually calls for those flat sections. Great job!
hey - I never noticed bart was back - btw: just so that you know, since the site update I've noticed two things:
1) The text underneath the comment box seems to assume that I somehow authored the current article whenever I view any of the posts on the site which I clearly didn't lol
2) According to internet explorer (though I haven't noticed it in firefox), there is an error in line 328: "HideUtils is undefined" - I presume you're using php to write the page or similar so I hope it's not *too* hard to find the bit of code that actually writes that part of the page source...
Apart from that, I hope you had a good holiday! ~epat
p.s: thumbs up for that great image radience!
Very impressive for a two-day job. You're hired! I guess the render took most of the two days? :D
So far nobody mentioned this so I thought I'd point it out: The GI effect may be "physically realistic" or whatever, but it almost makes parts of the building getting indirect lighting look translucent. Maybe I'm picking up visual cues of the original photo from the parking lot and thinking things should be darker.
good work for a two day job!
