Libre Graphics Meeting, last day

0

LGM LogoLast day, almost didn't make it today, just fall asleep in the morning, luckily my aunt woke me up just in time. It was actually pretty good today because the train only left at 7:55 AM and arrived at the station at 9:23, the bad thing was that I had the first modeling workshop starting at 9:00AM.

Well, today in LGM it was mostly demo sessions, so, the organization setup some chairs and tables on the hall and there were several sessions happening at the same time, it was pretty cool.

With this I can only say that my day was mostly done explaining Blender or watching other Blender demos or talks.

In the morning I started the Modeling session at 10:15 and since I was cut at the second modeling session at 13:00 I just did a continuos session, from 10:15 to 12:45, this because I had problems with my laptop as the AC plug didn't charge the laptop, so I had to finish the session before 13:00, the good thing is that I was able to finish the Head model and people really liked the workshop.

The feedback for this session was very good and it was for me the best session I did so far, specially taking into accout that in 2 hours and 30 minutes I explained the head anatomy, how muscle and bone work, how to translate the muscle and bone structure and flow into 3D and modeled a full head from a reference image. All of this while having people understanding what I was doing and interested in seeing how things worked.

After finishing the session I also tried to get some feedback from the people there and it was pretty good, they really learned what I taught them during the session and it was very rewarding that way.

After finishing the session I got something to eat and spent the next 2 hours talking about Blender to several people and answering some questions for some of the guys that were at the Modeling session and wanted to learn some more stuff on it.

And it was time for Raphael to do his animation session, although it was in French I could understand most of it.
This session was pretty good, Raphael knows alot from animation and Blender animation and he also knows very well how to deliver this knowledge.

It is almost 16:00 and it is time to close up.

LGM was pretty good, lots of people and lots of knowledge.

Once I get home I will do a sum up of all the LGM days and will also have some images to show up to all of you.

Right now I'm leaving to Lons le Saulnier but will only go to Portugal in Wednesday, meaning I will only be online again on Thursday.

Cheerz to all and hope to have gotten most of the things that happened here in LGM into these news blogs.
