And it’s been updated on time, too! There are some really strong pieces in there this month. Go take a look and pick out your favorite!
Also, there have been a couple grumblings here and on the forums by people who submit their work, but sadly do not get it accepted into the gallery. It is unfortunate that all submissions can’t be accepted to the gallery and it is a tough task to try picking out a few of the very best submissions each month. However, here are a few tips that might help you get your work accepted:
- The point of the gallery is to highlight Blender as well as Blender artists, so really be impressive with what Blender can do and what you can do with it. Just submitting something that highlights a feature of Blender might not be enough.
- A character or an object model might not make an image that’s compelling enough on its own. Perhaps place the character or object in an interesting scene.
- If you are re-submitting work, try making changes to improve your render (better lighting, increased contrast, enhanced materials).
- We are a community of artists, try to do something different that you don’t normally see in 3D galleries (but still make it impressive ;)
There you have it! A handful of pointers that should make your work stronger (and the job of the gallery maintainers more difficult ;). See you next month!
