Sutabi is working on a series of Blender video tutorials that explain how the basics of Blender work. So far, he has tutorials about how work with the Window Layout, the Window Header, the Buttons Window and how to change Blender’s Fonts.
On Elysiun, he writes:
The set of video tutorials that are to come are meant to teach people about using blender. I do plan to go into every aspect of blender, but I am just tring to figure out a good way to start people off first. So far I am figuring most people need to learn the interface, then basic construction of a scene, some modeling then they usally go off into Rendering, Script or Blender GE. And they all pull into different area of blender, but tend to use the same workflow.
I like Sutabi’s quiet style of explaining how things work in Blender (I’m a big Bob Ross fan, so go figue) and also the fact that he has created many small tutorials instead of a single big one. That way, it’s much easier to pick just the part that you need.
So far, he has 7 tutorials on his site and the table of content mentions 22 more. I hope he will keep working on them. If you’re just starting to figure out Blender’s user interface then this set of tutorials is highly recommended!
Hey Sutabi: as an incentive, I’ll publish about your website again once you have another 7 tutorials up :) (Just let me know when they’re ready). One hint for the next ones: try to avoid recording crashing applications and other errors ;-)
Go check them out on Gorrilla3d.com.
