Remaking Obi-Wan's Iconic Prequel Scene with Blender & After Effects

0

Caleb Natale recreates a movie scene. And while he uses Blender, I found the entire process including setting up props, bluescreens etc. fascinating!

Caleb writes:

I am a big fan of the Star Wars Prequels, as they pushed the envelope for what could be achieved with VFX. I always found Ewan McGregor's performance as Obi-Wan one of the most iconic in the franchise. So I challenged myself to recreate part of Obi-Wan's bounty hunter chase in Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. however, I only had 5 days to make this to share on May 4th (Which I have done successfully)!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
