Blender Extensions Platform Enters Public Alpha

0

The long awaited/brewing official Blender Extensions Platform's public alpha version has silently gone online a few days back and can be accessed at http://extensions.blender.org/ !

It is also accessible within the experimental features of the latest Blender 4.2 alpha daily builds, and both methods of access are authenticated through your Blender ID. The purpose of this alpha soft lunch is to gather feedback on the following, as per Dalai Felinto at the Blender Foundation:

We are looking for feedback on the different areas of the project:

  • [CREATION]: How is the experience of creating extensions.
  • [BLENDER]: How is the process in Blender to get extensions, change their settings, …
  • [SITE]: How is the navigation on the site, the authoring process, …
  • [OTHER]: Anything else (within the scope of this project).

Check out Dalai's thread on devtalk for all the necessary information to submit add-ons and use the repository, and most importantly, share any feedback you might have, now is the time for the community to do what it does best :)
