Pet Projects Production Recap

0

Fiona is back with another production recap on Blender's latest Open Movie, Pet Projects.

Over the past two weeks, part of the team has been off, but the work continued. New animator Mack Bo joined the team and started working on tests to establish the animation style. The decision was made to use a combination of animating on 2s (one key frame every second image) and 1s for specific, action-packed shots, which influences the overall style and pace.

While some studio members were away, the rigging, design, sculpting, and modeling processes didn't see much progress, but the team managed to adapt and work on other aspects of the project, such as set and prop design and layout work.

The Blender Studio team continues to share weekly updates on their progress through detailed Production Logs. Don't miss the chance to follow the exciting journey of creating the "Pet Projects" short film, and remember to check back next week for more final designs and, hopefully, the first animated faces!
