The 2nd episode of Season 2 of ‘Free Script Series’ covering the new “GeoCables” Addon is out now! You can check out the video here:
What is GeoCables Addon?
GeoCables is a free Blender Addon that allows you to generate procedural hanging cables by using Geometry Nodes.
The core of the addon is Geometry Nodes but the addon makes it much more convenient by offering functions like Drawing in the Object mode by simply clicking on surfaces or converting objects to cables.

HI,
Looks great!
Thanks for making this.
Could this also be used to create a ' Globe with flight paths' like you often see in news items about airliners traveling the world?
Kind regards,
Erik
Hi Erik,
I don't think you can create flight paths with this as you can not control the exact path of the cables.
And it would be much easier to just use bezier curves for that.
Hello, does this not work with blender 3.0?
I downloaded it, and installed through add-ons in the preferences menu, it says at the bottom install successful, but I cannot find it in the add ons menu to enable it?
Hi justin,
As I asked in my reply on YouTube could you please check the console for any errors?
Also did you follow the right steps to install? That is selecting the zip file while installing. Because I remember someone else also had a similar issue because they were selecting the init.py file instead of the zip file. So please make sure you are selecting the zip file while installing.
I got it to work using Blender 3.6. In Object mode there were three or four tabs on the far right (Item, Tool, View). Click on Tool > Workspace & scroll down to check the box for 'Object: GeoCables'.
