Creating a candy gumdrop with geometry nodes in Blender

3

As it's Nodevember I thought I'd try to share a daily Nodes tutorial to get you all motivated! While this tutorial by Andrew Price is not new, I followed it yesterday and I enjoyed it a lot. It covers relatively basic object scattering and some very simple modeling to create 'gumdrop' candy. The tutorial fast forwards through the lighting and shading, but Andrew does pause at some screenshots to let you copy his setup.

This tutorial was easy enough to follow and did not find any big changes in the interface in 2.93 (I did run into some scaling issues, but that was probably just me).

Do you have other beginner/intermediate level Blender shading or geometry node tutorials that I think I should share this month? Please submit them!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
