Clean up your shader node trees with a switch node

defenderblender writes:

This is a simple OSL-script that can be used in the script node (Works only in Cycles with Open Shading language enabled), that creates a switch node (similar to the switch node in the compositor). To toggle the On-Value, type in ON, to toggle the Off-Value, type in OFF.

Get it on Gumroad.

About the Author

My goal is to declare Blender as good as even possible and make Tutorials, that you don't just follow along but after which you know what the settings do and you can change them to your own benefit. (sadly, I can't upload such tutorials yet, but I am working on them) I also produce quick tip videos for you, so that you can pick up very important knowledge you need to know quickly.

    • Nothing, but I needed this script for some tasks, now I made it available, but I can't make everything free (I have so many free addons) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also, this can be easily modified to have more than two inputs ... For example, if I edit this to have 4 inputs, I have a way cleaner Node tree than using Mix Nodes.
