Hi Blender Nation.

I get a lot of questions about how I make interior scenes in Blender. So I've put together my ultimate guide to creating them, with all the little tips and tricks I use to save time. This video covers the best methods to quickly make beds, furniture, house plants, and loads more.

  1. Not bad.
As say the title: it's an easy way of making.
    - 2 problems with the ceiling lamp: lacking of soft shadows and bounced light around the base.
    - Windows: what we see outside seems too dark. It's in the original photo but they probably tried an HDR look, but it feels wrong. Photography need to chose between darks an higlights. In interior architectural photography, we expose for the interior, making windows all white. Sometimes we add a little lighter details of it but not too dark.
    - You have too less of bouncning outside blue light from outside. Here too the photographer made a bad job: he must take out blue color of outside light inside the room. It feels weird, our eyes see that a tiny little blue, almost grey.

    • While I don't disagree with your comments, Eddy (I'm a tog, too), the simplification of techniques shown here are masterful and I think that's the main aim of this tutorial. It demonstrates that you don't need a supercomputer to get decent results. HDRI or naturally lit is a creative choice, my big takeaway is to work smart and use your pc resources wisely, by taming the geometry. Some fab 'hacks' and a great tutorial.
