  1. Really nice material, especially I like the use of the Manhattan distance metric. I never thought of using that. Just one thing, since your going for a Procedural Snow Shader: to make it more independent from the object that you put it on, why didn't you create some displacement inside the material? That would have been quite easy with another Noise Texture plugged into a Displacement Node connected to the Displacement socket of the Material Output Node.
