Blender Used for Slack Connect Launch

We’re excited to share some of the development of the visuals we created for the Slack Connect launch in Blender!

Here is the full launch video we created at Greyduck with our collaborators:

We used Blender 2.83 and Cycles to render this project. The new denoise features were a life saver and came just in time for us to utilize them in this project. We’re still refining the workflow but between the new features and the ability to set up a remote render farm of sorts (we called it our Frankenstein’s Monster) pointed at folders in Dropbox Lucas and I were able to render all the pieces between our computers at home.

The light trails on the wires were made using the same technique that I showed in my recent tutorial on cyclical animations along paths:
