Hi everyone,
In this video, I share my favourite results from the Nodevember 2019 challenge. As well as this, we discuss some of the techniques used to achieve the results.
Free demonstration files are available to download for you to experiment with. Special thanks to Hans Chiu, Jonathan Lampel, Marshall Richards and 100drips for sharing their node graphs on Twitter.
Thanks for watching and have a great day!

WOW WOW WOW
apologies for the caps but
WOW WOW WOW
Blows my mind, very impressive!
If we could just bake the results to a regular mesh with all the standard PBR textures :).
This is something I love about Blender community. Guys like that that make this stuff and then share for everyone to use/dissect and learn.
One of the great posts here. Thanks! And WOW (!) for the guys involved.
For the Snow_Jonathan I'd recommend Subsurface Radius values of 0.8, 1 and 1.1 or maybe a little more towards a grey-blueish tint (the standard values are for skin, that's why it has a reddish-orange light tint). And maybe a lighter Color2 in Mix 1 of the Noise Texture.
Hope to see more of your works, guys!
Just when my hubris gets the better of me and I think I'm moving toward expert level Blender knowledge... Incredible work by some extremely talented artists!
