Neon Skies - Animated Short with blender and Unreal Engine

I'm very proud to present our recently finished animated short, "Neon Skies".

This short was created as an entry to the Unreal Film Jam. We had 6 weeks to create it from scratch to conclusion! It was a rough few weeks but we manage to finish it!
Blender 2.80 was used to create all the models which we then exported to unreal as fbx for final layout and render. The character animation was made in Maya (our animator is a maya animator, we are still trying to convince her to try blender :P ). Blender speed was vital to make the short on such a short time. Eeve was great to prototype materials without waiting for renders or creating complex materials in Unreal. And it's great to see how easy is to integrate blender with other 3d applications now!

The theme of the Jam was "Oh the places you'll go!" we wanted to take a darker take for the short, with a Film Noir style so we went a few years into the future with the approach of:
The places we've been. The places we'll go. Which path will Humanity take?
