In these 2 videos I break down how I created this model of a camera lens using (mostly) modifiers like screw, array, boolean, shrink-wrap ... so that I can always go back and change things!
Thanks for watching, have a great day!

A thought exercise:
Couldn't you use drivers to clamp specific coordinates dimensions of one object to the next, such that, when the dimensions of one object rely on dimensions of another, that can mathematically conjoined?
E.G. you could change diameter (or other specific dimensions of all parts by modification of the 1st plastic piece, versus changing diameters of all parts individually.
Or if you wanted to change the number of grip treads from 130 (or however many) to 8 thick ones, you could modify the detail, and the number of elements in the array is calculated by perimeter divided by tread width automatically?
Yes, I have actually played with this to some extent... BUT drivers (and the data-paths to get the info you need) are probably not suited for general tutorials ... Anyway, I will do more of that kind of thing in the future...
Good
I am Lawrence Drani from Uganda, i like your simplified tutorials and would like more except i have no resources ie. finances to facilitate my studies.
Otherwise your lesson was perfect for me.
Thanks
