Hi BlenderNation! In this video I share seven ways to realistic composite CGI layers together to create a more realistic live action final shot. To create this shot I used Blender 3d for creating the computer generated imagery and I composited all of the layers inside of Adobe After Effects. I also used 3d models from these amazing 3d artists below. Check them out on blendswap.com:

  • Chris Kuhn- 3d Helicopter
  • Alexdark- 3d Carrier

Please let me know what you think and if you have any tips of your own in the comment section below! Cheers from Los Angeles California!

I am a cinematographer based in Los Angeles. I have been using Blender for many years now in creating basic 3d VFX for films. I am one of the creator's of an asset based add-on for blender called LightArchitect (www.lightarchitectaddon.com) that allows pre-visualization of Industry Level lighting and camerawork inside of Blender.

  1. There are plenty of styles which are available for special effects which look amazing and wonderful, but this style has to be recreating every month as it follows the new trends which are different from each other and complexes in looks. In changing the effects blender tool can be very much useful in special effects industry.
